The bachelor degree in General Administration and Military Sciences is considered the first major in Palestine because it is a mixture of military sciences and general administration. Therefore, it is an exclusive major at IU. It is efficient in meeting the needs and requirements of the Palestinian security institutions at the administration and field dimensions in all districts. It prepares the security staff in a developed and scientific form through qualifying graduates in military sciences and general administration fields.

Vision:

A leading, outstanding and modern department in administrative and military in  teaching and training in order to develop the security institutions at the local and regional level within the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Mission:

The department always seeks to develop the capacities of security institutions through military and academic programs coping with technological and scientific developments, and it also looks forward to graduating qualified staff academically and scientifically within the standards of comprehensive quality and the university’s mission and vision.

Objectives:

- provide the security institutions and official parties with a specialized staff in military and administrative sciences.

- Link plans and academic programs with the needs and requirements of the Palestinian security institutions and State of Palestine.

- strengthen the relations between the academic staff and the non/governmental institutions and making the university serving the community.

- fulfill the needs of security institutions and the related bodies through the graduates and people who are responsible for citizenship, affiliation to homeland with a high level of discipline and commitment.

- encourage scientific research in all fields to develop and serve the community.

- ground the concept of affiliation and citizenship in the mind of cadets.

- develop the capacity strategy of solving problems and work, and use anything available in the surrounding environment in military and administrative sciences.

- manifest the skills of effective communication, critical thinking and any other skills which enable the graduates to achieve fruitful performance in military and administrative fields.
